Las Vegas nightlife runs on one price tag and two verdicts. On the Strip, ten revealed night clubs charge $100 and up and average 3.49 on Google. Nine other rooms at the same $100-plus price, three lounges, a wine bar, five restaurants, average 4.61. Same money, a full point apart, and the door does not tell you which side of it you are on. This Las Vegas nightlife guide is built on that gap: what the cover actually buys, which rooms hold their rating at every price, and where the city's own reviewers say the good night is.
The short version, if you are already in the cab: the $30–50 band is the best-rated money in town, downtown's clubs rate like bars, and the Strip's megaclubs are the only category in Las Vegas that averages under 4.
The $100 door is a coin flip, and the coin is the category
Every figure here is a real Google rating and review count from the rooms Tizy tracks in Las Vegas, revealed and active, measured 2026-09-10 from tizy-db. Price band is Google's own bucketing, so symbolic bands ($, $$, $$$) and dollar bands sit in the same column and are reported as they come. Only bands with three or more rated rooms are shown.
| Price band | Rated rooms | Avg. rating | Avg. reviews |
|---|---|---|---|
| $ | 6 | 4.57 | 1,595 |
| $$ | 20 | 4.42 | 1,822 |
| $$$ | 3 | 4.40 | 5,146 |
| $100+ | 19 | 4.02 | 1,589 |
| $10–20 | 59 | 4.57 | 583 |
| $20–30 | 63 | 4.55 | 1,718 |
| $30–50 | 13 | 4.65 | 692 |
| $40–50 | 3 | 4.67 | 688 |
| $50–100 | 10 | 4.63 | 1,486 |
The $100-plus tier is the only band under 4.4, and the only one under 4.5 by more than a rounding error. Split it by category and the reason is not subtle: ten of the nineteen rooms are night clubs, and they average 3.49. The other nine, three lounge bars, a wine bar, a steak house, and four restaurants, average 4.61. That is a 1.12-point gap inside one price tier, and it is the whole story of going out in this city.
City-wide the pattern holds. The 56 rated plain bars average 4.59, the 18 cocktail bars 4.62, the 8 wine bars 4.70, the 15 hookah lounges 4.67. The 26 night clubs average 3.85. Night club is the one category in Las Vegas with more than a room or two in it that cannot clear 4, at any price, and the $100 door is where it bottoms out.
The Strip's megaclubs are where the tier's rating goes to die
Here are the ten, worst first, because that is how the reviews read. JEWEL Nightclub at Aria runs a 2.7 across 596 reviews, the lowest-rated revealed room in the city. Marquee Nightclub (3.2, 1,304), LIV Nightclub Las Vegas (3.2, 533), and Hakkasan Nightclub (3.2, 2,057) sit a hair above it. XS Nightclub (3.3, 1,458) and OMNIA Nightclub (3.3, 3,226) are the two most-reviewed rooms in the tier, and both land at 3.3. OMNIA is also the club Google itself puts at the top of the local pack for this exact search, at 3.3, which tells you how little the pack cares about the rating.
The dayclubs do not rescue the average. LIV Beach Las Vegas rates 3.5 across 199 and Encore Beach Club 3.7 across 964, both noon-to-six pool rooms in the same $100-plus band. The two exceptions are small: On The Record at Park MGM holds a 4.2 over 314 reviews, the only $100-plus club in the city with a big enough sample to trust above 4, and Aria Casino Nightlife shows a 4.6 from 21 reviews, which is a rounding error dressed as a rating. Take Aria out and the nine remaining $100-plus clubs average 3.37.
None of these are empty rooms. OMNIA, Hakkasan, and XS carry four-figure review counts, so this is not one bad Saturday dragging a number down. It is thousands of people who paid the door, sat at the table, and came out unimpressed by the ratio of theater to floor. The reviews are rarely about the DJ. They are about the line, the markup, and a room that did not match the price on the way in.
Spend the same and sit down instead
The nine non-club rooms in the $100-plus band are where the tier earns its rating back. Hyde Lounge holds a 4.8 across 134 reviews and Eight Cigar Lounge a 4.5 across 593, both lounge bars in the same price band as the clubs above. Nowhere Lounge sits at 4.4 over 108. Las Vegas Wine Tours shows a 5.0, from 41 reviews, so read it as a good sign rather than a verdict.
The restaurants in this band are the big samples. Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris runs a 4.6 across 6,392 reviews. Top of the World at the Strat holds a 4.3 over 7,282, the largest sample of any $100-plus room in the city and still a full point above the club average. Ferraro's Ristorante (4.6, 2,939), Sparrow + Wolf (4.6, 1,700), and Aqua Bar & Lounge by Chef Shaun Hergatt (4.7, 327) round it out. Every one of the nine sits at 4.3 or above. Not one of the ten clubs gets there with more than 314 reviews behind it.
So the $100 is not the problem. Las Vegas charges $100 for a lot of rooms and most of them rate like the best rooms in any other city. The problem is what the $100 buys when the room has a dance floor.
The $30–50 band is the best-rated money in the city
Drop to a third of the cover and the average goes up, not down. The thirteen rated rooms priced $30–50 average 4.65, and the ten at $50–100 average 4.63. Both beat every band the clubs live in, and both beat the city-wide mean of 4.52 across all 278 rated rooms.
The names are mostly downtown and west of the Strip. Garagiste Wine Room in the Arts District runs a 4.9 across 183 reviews at $30–50. Vegas Vickie's Cocktail Lounge at Circa on Fremont holds a 4.8 over 57. Nocturno cocktail bar (4.7, 83 reviews) and Doberman Drawing Room (4.7, 300, at $40–50) sit a few doors apart on South 1st Street, all three in the 89101 downtown zip. Herbs and Rye on West Sahara, the $50–100 bar and grill with 5,636 reviews and a 4.7, has more verdicts behind it than Marquee and LIV combined, and rates a point and a half higher.
The Strip has its own version of this. The Lock Speakeasy at Horseshoe holds a 4.7 across 747 at $50–100. Montecristo Cigar Bar at Caesars rates 4.6 over 1,681 at $40–50. Tower Suites Bar at Wynn sits at 4.6 over 214. Same boulevard as XS and OMNIA, a third to half the price, a point and more above them.
A $100 door in Las Vegas does not buy a better night. It buys a night club, and a night club is the one thing this city rates under 4.
That is the opinion, and the number behind it is the 1.12-point gap inside the $100-plus band. A rating is not a set list, and a 3.3 room can throw a real Saturday when the right name is on the decks. But if the question is where the money holds its value, the city's own reviewers have answered it, and the answer is not the club.
Downtown has clubs too, and they rate like bars
The club category is not doomed in Las Vegas. It is doomed on the Strip. Raised By Wolves, the upstairs club room at 450 Fremont, holds a 4.8 across 572 reviews at $10–20 and runs 7 PM to 4 AM Wednesday through Saturday. Google's own three-pack for this search puts it between OMNIA (3.3) and ZAI Nightclub (3.3, 31 reviews, 700 E Fremont), which is the whole Strip-versus-downtown argument rendered as a map widget.
La Jolla Nightclub on the east side rates 4.4 across 1,234 reviews at a $$ band, one of the biggest samples of any club room in the city rated above 4. Oddfellows on Las Vegas Boulevard North, downtown, holds a 4.3 over 272 at a single-dollar band. Club EGO Afterhours on East Sahara rates 4.6 over 299 and opens at 2 AM, which is roughly when the Strip clubs have you out on the sidewalk. Not every downtown club is a good one. Discopussy sits at 3.6 over 339 and ZAI at 3.3, so the address is not a guarantee. But the cheap door and the good rating coexist here in a way they do not four miles south.
The zips say the same thing at scale. The Strip's 89109 holds 62 rated nightlife rooms, 16 of them club-category, and averages 4.34. Fremont's 89101 holds 35 rooms, five of them clubs, at 4.55. The Arts District's 89104 holds 34 rooms, two clubs, at 4.64, the best-rated dense cluster in the city. The zips with the fewest clubs rate highest, and the Strip has the most clubs by a distance.
How the night actually runs
The Strip's big rooms keep bankers' nights, in reverse. OMNIA runs 10:30 PM to 4 AM Tuesday and Thursday through Sunday. Hakkasan opens Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 10:30 PM to 4 AM. XS runs Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Marquee takes Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. JEWEL is Friday and Saturday only. Nothing on that list is worth arriving at before midnight, and the line at eleven is people who did not know that.
When those rooms close at four, the night moves. Drai's After Hours at the Cromwell runs 1 AM to 6 AM Thursday through Sunday and holds a 4.0 across 3,299 reviews, a better verdict than eight of the ten $100-plus clubs on this page, on a bigger sample than any of them. Club EGO picks up at 2 AM on Saturday and Sunday and runs until 8. The dayclubs, Encore Beach Club and LIV Beach, open at noon and close at six, and both rate under 3.8.
Two practical facts. Every room here is 21 and over, ID at the door, no exceptions and no charm. And a star average is a verdict on last spring, not tonight: a 3.3 does not know whether OMNIA's floor is full right now, and a 4.8 does not know whether Raised By Wolves has a private event. Where a room streams live on Tizy, tap it and hear the floor before you pay the door.
So where does the money go
- Want the best-rated night in the city for the least money: the Arts District or Fremont, $30–50, wine and cocktail rooms. Garagiste, Doberman Drawing Room, Nocturno.
- Want a dance floor and a door under $20 that the city actually rates: Raised By Wolves, Fremont. Then Club EGO at 2 AM if the night is still going.
- Want the Strip without the club rating: The Lock, Montecristo, Tower Suites Bar, or a $100-plus lounge like Hyde. Same boulevard, a point higher.
- Want the megaclub and the name on the wall: On The Record first, then Drai's After Hours at 1 AM. Go into OMNIA, XS, Hakkasan, and Marquee knowing the number on the door and the number in the reviews are pointing in opposite directions.
Start with Las Vegas nightlife for the full city read, go to clubs in Las Vegas for every club room with its price band and hours, or bars in Las Vegas for the 4.6-and-up rooms downtown and on the west side that the $100 door never mentions. If you want the same math for another city, the New York nightlife guide runs it on Manhattan, where the gap is wider still. Or skip the reading and open Las Vegas in Tizy to hear which room is alive tonight.
FAQ
What is the hottest club in Vegas right now?
By review volume, OMNIA at Caesars Palace, with 3,226 Google reviews, the most of any night club Tizy tracks in Las Vegas. By rating, it is a 3.3, and Hakkasan (3.2, 2,057 reviews) and XS (3.3, 1,458) are the same story. The highest-rated club in the city with a real sample is Raised By Wolves on Fremont at 4.8 across 572, at a $10–20 door. "Hottest" and "best-rated" are different lists here, and they do not overlap.
How much does a night out in a Las Vegas club cost?
Ten of the 26 revealed night clubs sit in Google's $100-plus price band, and those ten are the Strip's name rooms: OMNIA, XS, Hakkasan, Marquee, LIV, JEWEL, On The Record, plus the Encore and LIV dayclubs. Downtown clubs run far cheaper, with Raised By Wolves and Piranha at $10–20 and Oddfellows in the single-dollar band. Bottle service and table minimums on the Strip are on top of the door, and Tizy does not control or promise any of that pricing.
What is there to do at night in Vegas for adults that is not a nightclub?
The best-rated rooms in the city are not clubs. The $30–50 wine and cocktail band averages 4.65, led by Garagiste Wine Room (4.9) in the Arts District and Vegas Vickie's (4.8) at Circa. On the Strip, The Lock Speakeasy at Horseshoe (4.7, 747 reviews) and Montecristo Cigar Bar at Caesars (4.6, 1,681) hold their ratings at a fraction of a club door. The 15 revealed hookah lounges average 4.67 and the 8 wine bars 4.70, both above every club band in the city.
What is the $20 rule in Vegas?
It is a hotel check-in tip, not a nightlife rule: the idea of slipping a $20 bill in with your ID at the front desk and asking about complimentary upgrades. It has nothing to do with clubs, covers, or bottle service, and no room on this page prices anything around it. Your night out in Las Vegas costs what the door and the table say it costs.
Is the Strip or downtown better for Las Vegas nightlife?
On the ratings, downtown. The Strip's 89109 zip holds 62 rated rooms and averages 4.34, dragged down by its 16 club-category rooms. Fremont's 89101 averages 4.55 over 35 rooms and the Arts District's 89104 averages 4.64 over 34, the best dense cluster in the city. The Strip still has the biggest rooms, the biggest names, and the afterhours at Drai's; downtown has the doors under $20 and the rooms above 4.6.
What time do clubs in Las Vegas close, and when should I arrive?
The Strip's big rooms close at 4 AM: OMNIA, Hakkasan, XS, Marquee, and JEWEL all run to four on the nights they open. None of them fills before midnight, so an eleven o'clock arrival buys you a line and an empty floor. After four, Drai's After Hours runs to 6 AM Thursday through Sunday and Club EGO on East Sahara to 8 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Raised By Wolves on Fremont runs to 4 AM Wednesday through Saturday.
Is Las Vegas nightlife good for couples or people over 40?
The rooms the city rates highest are the ones built for sitting down and talking: Hyde Lounge (4.8), Eight Cigar Lounge (4.5), Herbs and Rye (4.7 across 5,636 reviews), and the whole $30–50 cocktail band at 4.65. Those work at any age and for any table of two. The $100-plus megaclubs are a different product, built around a dance floor and a bottle minimum, and their 3.49 average is the reviewers of every age saying so.
