The best nights to go out in Las Vegas depend on one question nobody on the first page of Google asks: do you want a dance floor or a bar. If it's a dance floor, the answer is Friday or Saturday and almost nothing else. On a Tuesday, 18 of the 25 revealed Las Vegas rooms Google files as a night club are closed. That's 72 percent of the city's clubs, dark, on the same night that only 6 of its 65 bars are. The bars barely notice the calendar. The Strip's megaclubs run two to five nights each, and never the same ones. This is the whole week, room by room, counted from Google's own posted hours on 2026-09-12 from tizy-db.

The short version, if you're already in the cab: Friday and Saturday for any club you've heard of. Thursday if you want the club at a Friday's reliability with a shorter line. Wednesday for Hakkasan, XS, Marquee and Raised By Wolves. Tuesday for OMNIA and a downtown bar. Monday for Marquee and a downtown bar. Sunday for OMNIA, XS, LIV and the after-hours. A bar, any night, doesn't care what day it is.

Clubs are a weekend product. Bars aren't.

Every Las Vegas room Tizy tracks that is revealed, active and has hours on Google, 287 of 308, was checked for the word "Closed" on each day of the week. The rows filed as night club and bar are Google's own category strings, so this is a narrower cut than the bars in Las Vegas list, which pools cocktail, hookah, wine and sports bars into one bucket. Twenty-one rooms with no posted hours are left out entirely, not counted as open or closed. One of them is Zouk at Resorts World, so it's absent from every figure below.

Read the club column top to bottom and you have the week. Sunday through Wednesday the majority or near-majority of the city's clubs are shut. Thursday is the hinge, at 40 percent closed. Friday and Saturday are the only two nights a club is as likely to be open as a bar, and even then two are dark. The bar column barely moves. The worst night for bars is Monday, at 7 closed of 65, and every one of those seven is a small room downtown or a lounge inside a Strip resort.

The other categories side with the bars. Of the 18 cocktail bars with hours, 5 are shut Monday, 4 Tuesday and none the rest of the week. Of the 19 hookah lounges, 2 shut Monday and Tuesday and none after that. All 9 karaoke bars, all 9 sports bars and all 6 pubs are open every night of the week. Twenty-four of the 65 bars never close at all. The city-wide number, 14 percent closed on a Monday, is a blend of two cities: one that takes weeknights off and one that has never heard of them.

One honesty note on the 25. Four of the rows Google files as a night club aren't rooms: a club-crawl operator with a 4.8 across 4,012 reviews, a second tour company, a party bus, and a casino's nightlife desk with 21 reviews. They stay in the table because that's how the category is stored. Strip them out and Tuesday gets worse, not better: 18 of the 21 actual club rooms are shut, which is 86 percent.

Monday: one megaclub, and the bars don't notice

Monday is the night the Strip's name clubs come closest to unanimous. Marquee Nightclub at the Cosmopolitan (3.2, 1,304 reviews, $100+) is the only Strip club room open, 10 PM to 4 AM, and it holds Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday as its week. OMNIA, Hakkasan, XS, JEWEL, LIV, Chateau, Intrigue and On The Record are all closed. So is Drai's After Hours (4.0, 3,299), which doesn't open until Thursday.

Off the Strip the Monday list is short and specific. La Jolla Nightclub on East Flamingo (4.4, 1,234, $$) runs until 5 AM into Monday morning, which is Sunday night by any honest clock. Mango Tango on South Decatur (4.0, 928, $$) does the same. ZAI on East Fremont (3.3, 31, $20–30) is open, 10 PM to 2 AM, on 31 reviews. Club EGO Afterhours on East Sahara (4.6, 299, $$) runs 2 to 7 AM Monday, again the tail of Sunday. If your Monday needs a room that opens at ten and has a real crowd behind it, it's Marquee or a bar.

The bars are the point. The Sand Dollar Lounge on Spring Mountain (4.6, 1,819, $20–30) runs to 4 AM every night of the week. Herbs and Rye on West Sahara (4.7, 5,636, $50–100) runs 5 PM to 3 AM Monday through Saturday. Fuel Bar on the Strip (4.7, 1,252, $10–20) goes to 3 AM every night. Atomic Liquors on East Fremont (4.6, 2,270, $10–20) and Corduroy at 515 Fremont (4.6, 444, $10–20) both run to 2 on weeknights. Beat Karaoke (4.8, 112, $10–20) and GoGo Karaoke (4.7, 860, $20–30) run 6 PM to 5 AM seven nights. The seven bars that are shut Monday are worth knowing so you don't walk up to them: Foreign Exchange Lounge downtown (4.9, 113, $20–30), Liquid Diet on Commerce (4.8, 145, $10–20), 1923 Prohibition Bar at the Venetian (4.7, 172), Craft Creamery Speakeasy (4.6, 152), Mezcla Tequila Bar (4.5, 147), F The Bar (4.7, 74) and The Count Room at the Flamingo (4.3, 31). Note what they have in common. They're the good small rooms, and they rest.

Tuesday is the worst club night in the city, and OMNIA owns it

Eighteen of 25 clubs closed, and only one Strip club room is open. OMNIA Nightclub at Caesars (3.3, 3,226, $100+) runs Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 PM to 4 AM, and on a Tuesday it has the megaclub market to itself. That's not a recommendation. It's a schedule. OMNIA is the most-reviewed $100-plus club in the city and rates 3.3, and on the night it has no competition, it has no competition.

Downtown, Oddfellows on Las Vegas Boulevard North (4.3, 272, $) opens Tuesday through Sunday, 8 PM to 3 AM, which makes it the highest-rated club room in Las Vegas that's open on a Tuesday. ZAI runs to 4. Everything else with a dance floor and a rating is dark: Raised By Wolves, Marquee, Hakkasan, XS, La Jolla, Mango Tango, Discopussy, Intrigue, Drai's After Hours, JEWEL, LIV, Chateau, Club EGO. If someone tells you about a great Tuesday club night in Las Vegas, it's one of two rooms, and one of them has 31 reviews.

The bar count on a Tuesday is 6 closed of 65. Six of the seven Monday rooms take Tuesday off too; Craft Creamery reopens. Which means on the worst club night of the week, 59 bars are open, 24 of them all night, and the cocktail rooms on Main Street are running normal hours. Petite Boheme (4.8, 76, $10–20) is 4 PM to 2 AM every day. Doberman Drawing Room on South 1st (4.7, 300, $40–50) is 5 PM to 2 AM every day. White Whale at 111 South Las Vegas Boulevard (4.9, 137, $20–30) runs to 2 AM every day. Vegas Vickie's at Circa (4.8, 57, $30–50) runs 9:30 AM to 3 AM, all seven. A Tuesday in Las Vegas is a bar night. The city's own hours say so.

If tonight is a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, don't plan the night around a Strip megaclub. Pick the bar first and treat an open club as a bonus, not the plan.

That's the opinion of the piece, and the number behind it is 16, 18 and 14: the clubs closed on each of those three nights, out of 25. A plan built around a club on a Tuesday is a plan built around OMNIA. A plan built around a bar has 59 rooms to choose from, and the 65 bars average 4.54, with 47 of them at 4.5 or above.

Wednesday is where the Strip starts to wake up

Fourteen of 25 clubs are still closed on a Wednesday, but the names change. Hakkasan at the MGM Grand (3.2, 2,057, $100+) opens its week on Wednesday and runs through Saturday, 10:30 PM to 4 AM. XS at Wynn (3.3, 1,458, $100+) is open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Marquee is back for its second night. That's three $100-plus rooms against Monday's one, and it's the first night of the week you can walk the boulevard and pick.

Downtown, Wednesday is the night that matters. Raised By Wolves, upstairs at 450 Fremont (4.8, 572, $10–20), the highest-rated club room in the city with a real sample, opens Wednesday and runs 7 PM to 4 AM through Saturday, then 7 PM to 1 AM on Sunday. It's closed Monday and Tuesday. So the best club in Las Vegas, by the people who paid the door, is a five-night room, and its week starts on a Wednesday. Oddfellows is on its second night. Mango Tango does a short 11 PM to midnight. That's the Wednesday list: three megaclubs, one great room downtown, and 62 of 65 bars.

Thursday is the insider's Friday, at 40 percent closed

Thursday is the hinge night. Ten clubs are shut, fifteen are open, and for the first time in the week the after-hours exists. Drai's After Hours at the Cromwell (4.0, 3,299) runs 1 AM to 6 AM Thursday through Sunday, on a bigger review sample than any $100-plus club in the city and a better rating than eight of them. Hakkasan and OMNIA are both open, the only night before Friday when they overlap. Intrigue at Wynn (3.4, 112) opens for its Thursday-to-Saturday run. Marquee and XS are closed, which is the reason the Thursday count isn't lower.

Downtown and out east the Thursday list is nearly the weekend list. Raised By Wolves, Oddfellows and Discopussy at 512 Fremont (3.6, 339, $$, 10 PM to 2 AM) are all open. La Jolla opens at 10. Stoneys Rockin Country at Town Square (4.2, 230, $20–30) starts its Thursday-to-Saturday week at 7 PM. Maxan Jazz on South Decatur (4.6, 258, $$), closed Tuesday and Wednesday, reopens at 6. One bar in the city, of 65, is dark. If the question is "which night has most of the weekend's rooms and none of the weekend's line," the hours say Thursday, and the ratings don't argue.

Friday and Saturday: everything opens, including the rooms that shouldn't

Two clubs closed of 25, and neither is one you'd plan around. Every $100-plus room on the Strip is open both nights, plus the rooms that only exist on the weekend: JEWEL at Aria (2.7, 596, $100+), Friday and Saturday only, 10:30 PM to 4 AM. Chateau at Paris (3.3, 289, $$), Friday and Saturday, 10 PM to 2 AM. On The Record at Park MGM (4.2, 314, $100+), Friday and Saturday, the best-rated of the Strip's $100-plus clubs and a two-night room. LIV at the Fontainebleau (3.2, 533, $100+), Friday through Sunday. The dayclubs, Encore Beach Club (3.7, 964, $100+), LIV Beach (3.5, 199, $100+) and AYU (3.7, 462), open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon. Drai's Beachclub & Nightclub (4.0, 3,299, $$$) runs its rooftop nightclub 10:30 PM to 3:30 AM on Friday and Saturday only, alongside a pool that's open daily.

The weekend adds an hour or two at most bars that aren't megaclubs. Corduroy goes to 4 instead of 2, Atomic Liquors to 3, and KAMU Ultra Karaoke on the Strip (4.8, 2,878) to 6 AM on Friday and Saturday against 5 the rest of the week. Ole Red (4.6, 9,375, $$) runs to 4 AM Thursday through Saturday and 2 the rest of the week. The bars post zero closures on either night. The city's whole nightlife inventory is available for two nights, which is exactly why the line is longest on the two nights you have the most alternatives to it.

Sunday belongs to the after-hours and to OMNIA, again

Nine of 25 clubs are closed on Sunday, and the open list is a weeknight list with better names. OMNIA, XS and LIV are the Strip rooms with a Sunday. Hakkasan, Marquee, JEWEL, Chateau, Intrigue, On The Record and Discopussy are dark. Raised By Wolves runs a short Sunday, 7 PM to 1 AM, then Oddfellows to 3.

What Sunday has that no other night does is three after-hours rooms. Drai's After Hours runs 1 to 6 AM. Club EGO Afterhours on East Sahara (4.6, 299) runs 2 to 8 AM on Saturday and Sunday mornings and 2 to 7 on Monday morning, and rates like a bar. Terrace Afterhours on Dean Martin Drive (4.3, 46, $$) is a Sunday-only room, 2 to 8 AM. On a Las Vegas Sunday the night doesn't end at four. It changes address.

The one bar closure worth naming: Herbs and Rye, the 5,636-review room on West Sahara, is closed Sunday. It's the biggest bar sample in the city with a day off. Nearly everything else that's a bar is open, and 24 of them, including The Golden Tiki on Spring Mountain (4.6, 4,415, $20–30) and Double Down Saloon on Paradise (4.6, 1,187, $10–20), never closed to begin with.

What posted hours can't tell you

Three limits, and one bigger one. First, this is Google's stated schedule, scraped, not a live signal. A room can be open per Google and dead inside, and a club that lists Wednesday can go private for a convention. Second, 21 revealed rooms have no hours on Google and are out of every count, Zouk (3.0, 1,188) among them. Third, "night club" is Google's string, so Piranha on Paradise Road, filed as a gay night club and open every night until 5 or 6 AM, isn't in the 25, and neither is the 3.5 it carries across 890 reviews. The clubs in Las Vegas list carries every club-category room with its full week.

The bigger limit is the one a schedule can't fix. OMNIA being the only Strip club open on a Tuesday tells you it's open. It doesn't tell you whether the floor is full at midnight or whether Raised By Wolves' Wednesday has a crowd upstairs yet. Where a room streams live on Tizy, you tap it and hear the floor before you commit the cab. If it's dead, you'll hear it, and you keep the night for one of the 59 bars that are open.

Pick the night by the room you want

  • Any megaclub, all of them, the full list: Friday or Saturday. Add JEWEL, Chateau, On The Record and Drai's rooftop, which exist on no other night.
  • Most of the weekend's rooms with a shorter line: Thursday. OMNIA and Hakkasan overlap, Drai's After Hours opens at 1, Raised By Wolves and Discopussy are on downtown.
  • The best-rated club room in the city on its first night of the week: Wednesday, Raised By Wolves, 7 PM to 4 AM. Hakkasan, XS and Marquee on the Strip.
  • A Tuesday: OMNIA if it has to be a megaclub, Oddfellows if it has to be downtown, and otherwise any of the 59 open bars. White Whale, Doberman, Petite Boheme, Vegas Vickie's are all on normal hours.
  • A Monday: Marquee is the only Strip club. Then the Sand Dollar, Herbs and Rye, Fuel Bar, the karaoke rooms until 5.
  • A Sunday: OMNIA, XS or LIV, then Drai's After Hours at 1 or Club EGO at 2. Skip Herbs and Rye. Try the Golden Tiki, which has no concept of Sunday.

FAQ

What is the best night to go out in Las Vegas?

Friday or Saturday if the night ends in a club: only 2 of the city's 25 revealed night clubs are closed on either night, against 16 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Thursday is the best weeknight, with 15 clubs open, including OMNIA, Hakkasan, Intrigue, Raised By Wolves and Drai's After Hours from 1 AM. If the night is a bar, any night works: 65 bars, never more than 7 closed, 24 of them open around the clock.

What are the least busy days in Las Vegas?

For nightlife, Monday and Tuesday, and the rooms say so with their doors. Sixty-four percent of Las Vegas's revealed night clubs are closed on a Monday and 72 percent on a Tuesday, measured from Google's posted hours on 2026-09-12. That's a schedule, not a headcount, so a Tuesday at OMNIA can still be full; it just means it's the only Strip megaclub you can be full at. The bars run at 89 to 91 percent open on those two nights.

What is there to do in Vegas on a Monday night?

Marquee at the Cosmopolitan is the only $100-plus Strip club open on a Monday, 10 PM to 4 AM. Off the Strip, ZAI on East Fremont is open and Club EGO picks up at 2 AM. The better Monday is a bar: the Sand Dollar Lounge runs to 4 AM, Herbs and Rye to 3, Fuel Bar to 3, and the Spring Mountain karaoke rooms Beat and GoGo to 5. Fifty-eight of the city's 65 bars are open, and the seven that aren't are small cocktail rooms downtown.

Which Las Vegas clubs are open on a Tuesday?

OMNIA at Caesars Palace, 10:30 PM to 4 AM, is the only Strip megaclub with a Tuesday. Downtown, Oddfellows (4.3, 272 reviews, single-dollar band) runs 8 PM to 3 AM and ZAI (3.3, 31 reviews) runs to 4 AM. Hakkasan, XS, Marquee, JEWEL, LIV, Chateau, Intrigue, On The Record, Raised By Wolves, La Jolla, Mango Tango, Discopussy and Drai's After Hours are all closed. Eighteen of the 25 revealed night clubs are dark on a Tuesday.

What is there to do in Vegas on a Sunday night?

OMNIA, XS and LIV are the Strip clubs with a Sunday, and Raised By Wolves runs a short 7 PM to 1 AM downtown. The Sunday specialty is the after-hours: Drai's After Hours from 1 to 6 AM, Club EGO Afterhours on East Sahara from 2 to 8, and Terrace Afterhours on Dean Martin Drive, a Sunday-only room from 2 to 8. Nine of the 25 clubs are closed, including Hakkasan, Marquee and JEWEL, and Herbs and Rye is the one big bar that takes Sunday off.

What time do Las Vegas clubs open and close on weeknights?

The Strip's megaclubs run the same hours every night they open, 10 or 10:30 PM to 4 AM, and none of them fills before midnight. What changes on a weeknight isn't the hours, it's whether the door is open at all: Marquee's week is Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday; OMNIA's is Tuesday, Thursday through Sunday; Hakkasan's is Wednesday through Saturday; XS's is Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Downtown, Raised By Wolves runs 7 PM to 4 AM Wednesday through Saturday and Oddfellows 8 PM to 3 AM Tuesday through Sunday.

When is the worst time to go to Vegas for nightlife?

A Tuesday, if the plan is a club. Seventy-two percent of the city's revealed night clubs are closed, the highest of any night, and the only megaclub open is OMNIA, which rates 3.3 across 3,226 reviews. Monday is a close second at 64 percent. Neither is a bad night for a bar: 59 of the 65 bars are open on a Tuesday and 58 on a Monday, and the ones that close are the small cocktail rooms, not the ones that run all night.
