Every guide to Las Vegas nightlife neighborhoods draws the same line. The Strip for the megaclubs and the bottle service, Fremont Street for the cheap door, the Arts District if you want to look like you live here. The line is right. What the guides never say is what the people who paid for the night actually thought of each side of it. Across the 206 rated bars, clubs, lounges, karaoke rooms, and hookah lounges Tizy tracks inside the city, the Strip's zip carries 47 rooms and averages 4.26 on Google. Downtown's two zips carry 56 rooms and average 4.59. The Strip's clubs close at 4 AM; a good share of downtown and the west side never closes at all. Here is the city, district by district, with the numbers.

The short version, if you are already in the cab: the Arts District for the surest room, Fremont East for a dance floor with a door under $20, Chinatown's Spring Mountain Road if the night needs to run past five, and the Strip only if you know which rooms are dragging its average down. Which is most of the famous ones.

Las Vegas barely lists its own nightlife, so this map is built from the rooms

A neighborhood guide to London or Berlin can be read off the event calendar: which district has the most parties this week is a real signal. Las Vegas does not work that way. On the Tizy events feed the city has 20 upcoming listed events, which puts it 120th of the 450 cities tracked, behind Miami, Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles, and level with markets a tenth its size.

That is a fact about the feed, not about the city. Those 20 listings sit across nine venues, seven of them at Bauhaus Vegas and five at Palm Tree Beach Club, all on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, and 331 of the 450 tracked cities have 20 or fewer. It measures how much of a city's nightlife gets ticketed and promoted through a listings source, and Las Vegas is not a promoter-and-ticket city. It is a resident-DJ, door-policy, venue-brand city. The big rooms do not need to announce a party because the room is the party, every night it opens. So the useful map here is the other table: who is open, where, and what the people who went think of it.

The Strip has the most rooms in the city and the lowest average

The city has no official neighborhood boundaries, so this is by zip code, which is how the addresses are stored. Every figure is a real Google rating and review count from the rooms Tizy tracks in Las Vegas, revealed and active, bar and club and lounge categories only, measured 2026-09-11 from tizy-db. Only zips with five or more rated rooms are shown. Clubs are the night club, dance club, and gay night club categories; everything else is a bar.

Read the two right-hand columns against the rooms column. The Strip has more rated rooms than downtown's two zips put together, four times the reviews of any other district, and the only average in the city under 4.4. It also has eleven of the city's fifteen rooms rated under 4.0. Downtown has two. Every other district has one or none.

Split the Strip's average and it stops being a mystery. Its 32 bars and lounges average 4.57, just under the Arts District. Its 15 clubs average 3.59. City-wide the 29 club-category rooms average 3.84 and the 177 bars average 4.58, so the club discount is everywhere; the Strip just has half the city's clubs on one boulevard.

The Strip: 32 good bars wrapped around 15 bad ratings

Zip 89109 is the central Strip, roughly Sahara to Tropicana on both sides of Las Vegas Boulevard, plus the Koval Lane rooms behind it. The bars in it are genuinely strong, and nobody comes here for them.

Tipsy Robot at the Venetian holds a 4.9 across 487 reviews at a $10–20 band, the highest-rated Strip room with a real sample behind it. BrewDog Las Vegas (4.7, 12,780 reviews) has the largest review count of any bar in the city and keeps a 4.7 on all of them. Fuel Bar (4.7, 1,252, $10–20, open to 3 AM) and Flight Club (4.7, 530) sit in the same tier. The Lock Speakeasy at Horseshoe (4.7, 747, $50–100) and Montecristo Cigar Bar at Caesars (4.6, 1,681, $40–50) are the sit-down rooms. Ole Red (4.6, 9,375), the live music bar, runs to 4 AM on Friday and Saturday and has more reviews than OMNIA, Hakkasan, and XS combined. KAMU Ultra Karaoke (4.8, 2,878) on the 3300 block is the most-reviewed karaoke room in the city. The Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan (4.5, 2,980, $20–30) and its neighbor Vesper Bar (4.3, 664) never close.

Then the clubs, and here the order is worst first because that is how the reviews read. Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World rates 3.0 across 1,188. Hakkasan (3.2, 2,057), Marquee (3.2, 1,304), and LIV Nightclub (3.2, 533) sit just above it. OMNIA (3.3, 3,226) and XS (3.3, 1,458) are the two most-reviewed clubs in the city and both land at 3.3. Chateau (3.3, 289) and Intrigue at Wynn (3.4, 112) round out the under-3.5 group. The dayclubs do not help: LIV Beach (3.5, 199), Encore Beach Club (3.7, 964), and AYU Dayclub (3.7, 462). One block east in the CityCenter zip, JEWEL at Aria rates 2.7 across 596, the lowest-rated room in the city, in the same zip as Hyde Lounge at 4.8.

The exceptions are real but small. On The Record at Park MGM holds 4.2 across 314, and Drai's After Hours at the Cromwell holds 4.0 across 3,299, which is the biggest club-room sample in the city above 4.0 and it only opens at 1 AM. One footnote on the count: the zip's fifteen club rows include a club-crawl tour operator filed as a night club, at 4.8 across 4,012. It stays in the averages because that is how the category is stored, but it is not a room, and it is left out of every room-by-room read on this page. Taken together, the Strip's 15 clubs carry 22,716 reviews at 3.59. Its 32 bars carry 47,142 at 4.57. The boulevard is two districts sharing a zip: a bar district that rates like the Arts District, and a club district that rates like nowhere else in town.

Fremont Street and Fremont East: downtown's front door, and its only real dance floors

Zip 89101 is Fremont Street under the canopy, Fremont East past Las Vegas Boulevard, the north end of Main Street, and the top of the Arts District where 1st Street files under the downtown zip. Thirty-one rated rooms, an average of 4.54, twenty-three of them at 4.5 or above, and 23 of the 26 with a price band sit under $30.

The cocktail end is where the 4.8s and 4.9s live. White Whale Cocktail Bar (4.9, 137, $20–30) at 111 South Las Vegas Boulevard is the highest-rated room downtown, and Google's own local pack for the bars search put it in the top three. The Underground Speakeasy and Distillery at 300 Stewart Avenue holds a 4.8 across 1,404, the biggest sample of any downtown bar above 4.7. Vegas Vickie's Cocktail Lounge (4.8, 57, $30–50), Legacy Club (4.5, 756), and Circa Bar (4.3, 92) all share the 8 Fremont Street address, which is Circa. Oak & Ivy (4.7, 847) and Bin 702 (4.7, 577) share 707 East Fremont. Doberman Drawing Room (4.7, 300, $40–50) and Nocturno cocktail bar (4.7, 83) sit a few doors apart on South 1st Street, geographically Arts District, filed downtown.

The bar-bar end runs later and cheaper. Atomic Liquors (4.6, 2,270, $10–20) at 917 East Fremont runs to 3 AM on Friday and Saturday. Corduroy (4.6, 444, $10–20) at 515 Fremont goes to 4. The Griffin (4.5, 851) next door at 511 goes to 3. Hogs & Heifers Saloon (4.5, 2,952, $20–30) at 1 South Main runs 2 PM to 4 AM every day of the week. Cat's Meow (4.3, 2,186) is the karaoke room at 450 Fremont, open to 4 on the weekend. Glitter Gulch Tiki (4.5, 260) and Fat Cat (4.6, 79) cover the side streets.

And the clubs. This is the one district outside the Strip with more than two of them, and it is where the whole Strip-versus-downtown argument gets settled. Raised By Wolves, upstairs at 450 Fremont, holds a 4.8 across 572 reviews at a $10–20 door and runs to 4 AM on Friday and Saturday. It is the highest-rated club room in Las Vegas with more than a handful of reviews, and it is the room Google puts at the top of its local pack for this exact search. Oddfellows (4.3, 272) on Las Vegas Boulevard North is in the single-dollar band and rates above On The Record, the best of the Strip's $100-plus clubs with a real sample. Discopussy (3.6, 339) and ZAI (3.3, 31) at 700 East Fremont are the two that drag the district's club average to 4.00. Even so, 4.00 is four tenths better than the Strip's clubs manage with a hundred dollars on the door.

The Arts District is the best-rated cluster in the city, and its one club is not in it

Zip 89104 is the Arts District along Main Street and Casino Center, Huntridge on East Charleston, and a stretch of East Sahara. Twenty-five rated rooms at 4.64, the highest average of any dense cluster in Las Vegas, 22 of the 25 at 4.5 or above, none under 4.0, and 17 of the 18 with a price band under $30. Five of the 25 are open 24 hours.

The Main Street run is the densest block of good rooms in the city. Able Baker Brewing (4.8, 1,348) at 1510 South Main is the anchor by volume. Horse Trailer Hideout (4.8, 316, $10–20) is two doors up. Petite Boheme (4.8, 76) at 1407 runs 4 PM to 2 AM every night. Dark Sister (4.6, 147) at 1410, ReBAR (4.7, 705, $20–30) at 1225, Velveteen Rabbit (4.6, 1,142, $20–30) at 1218, and Jammyland Cocktail Bar & Reggae Kitchen (4.4, 445) at 1121 fill in the rest of the strip. Echo - Taste & Sound (4.8, 212) at 1301 South Main shares an address with Bizarre Bar, the 4.9 Google put third in its local pack for this search.

Around the corner on California Avenue, Garagiste Wine Room (4.9, 183, $30–50), CraftHaus Brewery (4.8, 339), and Mezcla Tequila Bar (4.5, 147) share the 197 East California address. Misterio Mezcal Bar (4.8, 144, $10–20) and Hola Habibi (4.7, 129, $10–20) are on Casino Center. Atomic Tavern (4.7, 117, $10–20) on South 3rd runs to 4 AM on the weekend. Cross Charleston and the 24-hour rooms start: Dino's Lounge (4.5, 1,512, $10–20) on Las Vegas Boulevard, Huntridge Tavern (4.5, 487, $10–20) on East Charleston, Jake's Bar (4.4, 537) out on Eastern.

The zip's single club-category room is Club EGO Afterhours (4.6, 299) at 1000 East Sahara, two miles from Main Street and open 2 AM to 8 AM on Saturday and Sunday. It rates like the district's bars and it is not in the district. The Arts District proper has no night club at all, and that is the plainest explanation for its average.

One caution on the map. The west side of the Arts District, Commerce Street, is filed under 89102, so the table splits one neighborhood in two. Stray Pirate (4.8, 530, $20–30), Liquid Diet (4.8, 145, $10–20), Servehzah Bottle Shop and Tap Room (4.6, 504), PROWL (4.6, 57), SEVEN:45 (4.5, 126, $30–50), and Chocolate City El Septimo Cigar Lounge (4.7, 190) are all on the 1300 to 1600 blocks of South Commerce. Add them to the Main Street rooms and the Arts District is closer to 31 rooms than 25, and the average does not move.

West of the Strip: Chinatown runs later than the clubs do

Take the three zips west of the boulevard together, 89102, 89146, and 89103, and you get 43 rated rooms at 4.57 on 32,404 reviews, more reviews than downtown's two zips combined. No editorial page on this search mentions any of it beyond a line about Chinatown.

Spring Mountain Road is the spine. The Golden Tiki (4.6, 4,415, $20–30) at 3939 Spring Mountain is open 24 hours and has more reviews than any downtown bar. The Sand Dollar Lounge (4.6, 1,819, $20–30) at 3355 runs to 4 AM every night. Alchemist Bar and Restaurant (4.9, 190, $20–30) at 4300 is the best-rated cocktail room on the west side. Crown & Anchor British Pub (4.3, 765, $10–20) at 4755 never closes.

Then the karaoke belt, which is the reason this side of town outlasts the Strip. J Karaoke (4.5, 599, $20–30) at 3899 Spring Mountain runs 6 PM to 5 AM on Friday and Saturday. Beat Karaoke (4.8, 112, $10–20) at 5685 runs 6 PM to 5 AM every night. Ninja Karaoke Chinatown (4.9, 104) at 5115 goes to 4, INDUSTRY 13 Karaoke & Bar (4.5, 114) at 5599 goes to 5, Karaoke Q Studio (4.5, 646, $20–30) on South Jones goes to 5. The Strip's megaclubs are closing at 4 AM on a Saturday. Five karaoke rooms two miles west are open for another hour.

The hookah rooms run the same hours. K-Ways Hookah Lounge (4.8, 78, $10–20) on South Jones runs to 6 AM. BlaQcaT Ultra Lounge & Cuisine (4.7, 475) on West Charleston runs to 2. Further out in 89103, Reggae Hookah lounge (4.5, 130, $10–20) and Babylon Hookah lounge and bar (4.5, 57, $10–20) on West Tropicana both go to 4 AM. The same zip has McMullan's Irish Pub (4.6, 3,628, $20–30), open 24 hours with the biggest review sample in the Southwest, and Maxan Jazz (4.6, 258) on Decatur, the city's only rated jazz club, which runs 6 to 11 and is done before the Strip's rooms open.

Two more west-side rooms belong in any honest map. Herbs and Rye (4.7, 5,636, $50–100) on West Sahara runs 5 PM to 3 AM and has more reviews than any night club room on the Strip. Frankie's Tiki Room (4.6, 3,281, $20–30) on West Charleston is open 24 hours. The west side's one club-category room is Mango Tango (4.0, 928) on South Decatur, which runs to 5 AM on Friday and 6 on Saturday and rates four tenths above the Strip's club average at a $$ band.

South of Tropicana and Paradise Road: the airport end

Zip 89119 is the south Strip below Tropicana, Town Square, and the UNLV stretch of Maryland Parkway. Fifteen rated rooms at 4.46, and one of the fifteen is an airport lounge on Concourse D, which tells you how the zip is drawn. 1923 Prohibition Bar (4.6, 862) at 3930 South Las Vegas Boulevard and Franklin Lounge (4.6, 70, $30–50) at the Delano are the south-Strip rooms; Skyfall Panoramic Bar & Lounge (4.3, 782, $20–30), also at the Delano, is the view. Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge (4.5, 670, $20–30) and Stoneys Rockin Country (4.2, 230, $20–30), the country room, are both on the 6600 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, which is Town Square. Up Maryland Parkway by the university, GoGo Karaoke (4.7, 860, $20–30) runs 6 PM to 5 AM every night and The Dive Bar (4.4, 756, $10–20) never closes. La Jolla Nightclub (4.4, 1,234) on East Flamingo is the best-rated club room in the city with more than a thousand reviews.

Paradise Road, zip 89169, is the smallest cluster on the table at seven rooms and 4.40, and it is really two rooms. Double Down Saloon (4.6, 1,187, $10–20) at 4640 Paradise is open 24 hours and has been the locals' answer to "where do you actually go" for as long as anyone has asked. Red Dwarf (4.8, 1,061, $20–30) on Vegas Valley Drive is the highest-rated bar east of the Strip on a real sample. Azuza Hookah Lounge (4.4, 1,314, $30–50) runs to 4 AM. Piranha Nightclub (3.5, 890, $10–20), the gay club on Paradise, is the district's one room under 4.0 and the reason its club average sits at 4.15.

The east side deserves one line. Zip 89121 out on Flamingo and Tropicana has five rated rooms, Ichabod's Lounge (4.6, 1,507), Starboard Tack (4.6, 709), Dispensary Lounge (4.5, 677), Founder's Club (4.5, 146), and Old Vegas Tavern (4.4, 352), and every one of the five is open 24 hours. That is the locals' Vegas in one statistic.

If you are picking a Las Vegas neighborhood for tonight, do not open an event calendar. Check who is open and what they are rated, because this city barely bothers to list itself.

That is the opinion of the piece, and the number behind it is 20 listed events across 206 rated rooms. The Strip's clubs do not promote a Saturday because Saturday is the product. Downtown and Chinatown do not promote anything because the rooms are open anyway, and 48 of the city's 206 rated rooms never close. The calendar tells you almost nothing here. The ratings and the hours tell you most of it.

What the map cannot tell you, and the one thing that can

Two limits. The revealed set is the city of Las Vegas, so Henderson's Water Street and Green Valley, and Summerlin's Downtown Summerlin and Red Rock, are not rated here; the local-guide pages on this search cover them, and this piece will not invent their rooms. And a district average is a district average. The Strip's 4.26 contains a 4.9 robot bar and a 12,780-review brewpub at 4.7; the Arts District's 4.64 still has a Tuesday.

That second gap is the one a rating cannot close. Raised By Wolves' 4.8 is a verdict on every Saturday that already happened. It does not know whether the floor upstairs is full right now or whether the Sand Dollar's band has started. Where a room streams live on Tizy, you tap it and hear the floor before you commit the cab. If it is dead, you will hear it.

Pick the district by the night you want

  • Highest odds of a good room without checking first: the Arts District, the 1100 to 1500 blocks of South Main, any bar on the block, under $30.
  • A dance floor with a door under $20 that the city actually rates: Fremont East, Raised By Wolves upstairs at 450 Fremont, then Corduroy or Atomic Liquors when it closes.
  • A night that needs to run past 4 AM: Spring Mountain Road, J Karaoke, Beat Karaoke, the Sand Dollar, and the Golden Tiki whenever you give up.
  • A sit-down room on the boulevard without the club rating: the Strip's bars, Tipsy Robot, The Lock, Montecristo, Ole Red, BrewDog.
  • The megaclub and the name on the wall, eyes open: the Strip's $100-plus rooms, knowing OMNIA, XS, Hakkasan, and Marquee rate between 3.2 and 3.3.
  • Somewhere nobody told you about: Double Down Saloon on Paradise or any of the five 24-hour rooms out on Flamingo.

FAQ

Where is the best nightlife in Vegas?

By rating, the Arts District: zip 89104 averages 4.64 across 25 rated rooms, the highest of any dense cluster in the city, with 22 of the 25 at 4.5 or above and none under 4.0. By volume, the Strip's 89109, with 47 rated rooms and 69,858 reviews, but it averages 4.26 because its 15 clubs rate 3.59. If the night has to end on a dance floor, Fremont East has the best-rated club room in the city, Raised By Wolves at 4.8, at a $10–20 door.

What part of Vegas should you stay away from?

On the ratings, no district in this piece is worth avoiding outright, but one product is. The Strip's night clubs average 3.59 across 15 rooms, and eleven of the city's fifteen nightlife rooms rated under 4.0 are on that one zip: Zouk (3.0), Hakkasan, Marquee, and LIV (3.2), OMNIA, XS, and Chateau (3.3), plus JEWEL at 2.7 next door at Aria. The Strip's 32 bars and lounges, by contrast, average 4.57. The safety questions people usually mean by this one are not something a rating can answer, and this piece does not try.

Where do Vegas locals hang out?

The zips with the most 24-hour rooms and the fewest clubs. Every one of the five rated rooms in 89121 on the east side is open 24 hours, and the west side's Golden Tiki, Frankie's Tiki Room, Crown & Anchor, McMullan's, and Double Down Saloon on Paradise all never close. The Arts District's Main Street run, Able Baker, Velveteen Rabbit, ReBAR, and Horse Trailer Hideout, is the after-work side of the same crowd. None of these rooms has a $100 door, and all of them rate 4.3 or above.

Do Las Vegas locals avoid the Strip?

They avoid the Strip's clubs, and the ratings suggest most visitors would too if they read them first. The boulevard's bars are a different matter: BrewDog holds a 4.7 on 12,780 reviews, Ole Red a 4.6 on 9,375, and Tipsy Robot a 4.9 on 487, and Village Pub & Cafe on Koval Lane behind the Strip is a 24-hour room with 5,019 reviews at 4.4. The Strip is two districts in one zip, and the one locals skip is the one with the line outside.

Is the Strip or downtown better for going out in Las Vegas?

On the numbers, downtown. Its two zips hold 56 rated rooms at 4.59 against the Strip's 47 at 4.26, and downtown has two rooms under 4.0 to the Strip's eleven. Fremont's four clubs average 4.00 to the Strip's 3.59, and 40 of the 44 downtown rooms with a price band sit under $30. The Strip still has the biggest rooms, the only 4.0 club room with more than three thousand reviews, Drai's After Hours, and the after-hours itself, which opens at 1 AM. Pick downtown for the room and the Strip for the spectacle.

Where can you dance in Vegas that is not a nightclub?

The country rooms, the karaoke belt, and the clubs that are not on the Strip. Stoneys Rockin Country at Town Square (4.2, 230) and Ole Red on the Strip (4.6, 9,375, open to 4 AM on weekends) cover the country end; Mango Tango on South Decatur (4.0, 928) runs to 6 AM on Saturday. La Jolla on East Flamingo (4.4, 1,234) is the best-rated club room in the city with more than a thousand reviews. And the Spring Mountain karaoke rooms, J Karaoke, Beat, Ninja, INDUSTRY 13, run to 5 AM with a floor of their own.

What time do bars close in Las Vegas?

Many of them do not. Of the 206 rated nightlife rooms in the city, 48 are open 24 hours, and they cluster outside the Strip: five in the Arts District's 89104, five in 89102, four in 89146, four in the south Strip's 89119, all five in 89121, and only four in the Strip's own zip, including The Chandelier and Vesper at the Cosmopolitan. Rooms with a closing time run later on the west side than on the boulevard: the Sand Dollar and Raised By Wolves to 4 AM, the Spring Mountain karaoke rooms to 5, K-Ways Hookah to 6. The Strip's clubs close at 4 AM, and Drai's After Hours and Club EGO pick up at 1 and 2.
